UPDATE : Mycha rode Princess in a schooling show for us .... she had only had a English saddle on a couple of rides .... and had

never been shown English .... She did walk /trot Hunters Under Saddle and placed 1st ... she took 4th over Obstacles (poles) and

she also did some Equitation classes with her ...she seemed to have a great time ....Thanks Mycha for riding her in 1st English class.

Here are the comments from Christi about the trip with Princess ....

"Princess did great! We had her for a couple of days before our trip. She never had a problem with either the saddle or the pack. She ponyed right along and kept up without a problem. She ended up with the tallest pack and one of the heaviest at ~160 pounds. It was 13 miles in to the cabin crossing rocks and several streams. After we were there for 4 days, we took a day ride that lasted about 6 hours. We had some problems with the riding stock, so she was ridden. They put her in the middle, riding drag, and also out front. She had a calm and easy way of going no matter where she rode…and even ponyed the mule. Coming back out, we didn't need to pack her, so she ended up just carrying out her saddle and my son's little saddle as he rode double instead of being ponied on his mule. Overall I've never had such a great first trip with a pack animal. Sometimes it's just nervousness that they'll get over…but Princess just took everything in stride without a hint of being upset and like she'd done it for years. And, as a side-note, with all of the rocks and rocky trail she never seemed to have a problem with being barefoot. She's so solid on the trail that I'd take her again in a heartbeat. She'll make a great little pack pony, or even riding pony for someone looking for a solid gal. She really seemed to enjoy herself too. Christi" <<...>> <<...>>

Princess is a 6 year old P.O.A mare ...My daughter has used her the last 2 years in 4H (she is 10 years old) .

She has been out on trail rides , walk , jogs , lopes, knows her leads , backs , working on forehand turn...

Has done showmanship . Trailers, Clips, Ties, good for the farrier , up to date on shots and de-worming .....

Will get a new video soon ..just trying it out .....

Quiet minded...Needs an INTERMEDIATE to advanced rider ....

I believe someone with more experience than my daughter could make her

into a cute show pony (cute mover) .. English / Hunter Prospect ...
